Bell'Aja Bolgheri Bianco

The 2025 vintage in Bolgheri began with a mild winter marked by abundant rainfall that continued through May. The water reserves built up during this period created ideal conditions to withstand a dry and particularly warm June, supporting optimal vegetative balance in the vineyards. The summer was overall temperate, with above-average rainfall well distributed across July, August, and September, contributing to steady vine development. Veraison occurred slightly earlier than usual—by about one week—leading into an even and promising ripening phase. The Vermentino harvest took place between the last week of August and the first week of September, with multiple picking passes aimed at preserving both freshness and aromatic vibrancy, as well as enhancing structure and expressive complexity.

The 2024 vintage in Bolgheri began with a mild winter and little precipitation, leading to a slightly early bud break at the end of March. Spring, characterized by moderate but frequent rainfall, required careful vineyard management to maintain plant health. July and August were hot and dry, which helped slow vegetative growth, creating optimal conditions for veraison and grape ripening. In early September, an Atlantic weather system brought rain and cooler temperatures, further supporting ripening. The rest of September was sunny with average temperatures, allowing for optimal ripening across all vineyards and resulting in excellent grape quality.

In autumn, the weather fluctuated between brief showers and temperatures above average. Intense cold persisted from late December to mid-February, but overall the winter was mild. Spring saw frequent rains that compromised some inflorescences, reducing production, but fruit set was good. Summer experienced high temperatures, requiring interventions to protect the vines from heat and ensure optimal phenolic ripening. Production was slightly below average but well distributed.
