The winter season was marked by abundant rainfall and mild temperatures, conditions that led to an early budbreak. Cool temperatures and consistent spring showers supported balanced canopy growth and an even flowering. Although the summer was generally warm, the water reserves accumulated in the soil during the winter and spring allowed the vines to withstand the hottest periods without stress, leading to optimal grape ripening. Harvest took place in September, which was mostly dry except for a few showers toward the end of the month. The grapes picked showed an excellent level of ripeness and a pleasant, vibrant freshness.

In autumn, the weather fluctuated between brief showers and temperatures above average. Intense cold persisted from late December to mid-February, but overall the winter was mild. Spring saw frequent rains that compromised some inflorescences, reducing production, but fruit set was good. Summer experienced high temperatures, requiring interventions to protect the vines from heat and ensure optimal phenolic ripening. Production was slightly below average but well distributed.

2022 was a year marked by a specific period of drought that began at the end of winter and persisted for much of the summer. In mid-August, a series of thunderstorms proved providential during the crucial grape ripening period. Bolgheri varieties demonstrated a very positive response, resilient on one hand to the initial lack of water and on the other, efficiently metabolizing the rains, ultimately allowing for optimal ripening, especially for the later-ripening varieties. Harvest started early, around the third week of August on average, and concluded at the end of September."

The winter was rainy with above average temperatures. Spring started with mild temperatures, which led to an early start of the vegetative recovery. During the first few days of April, temperatures dropped below freezing for two nights, causing damage in the budding phase. Subsequently, temperatures rose, allowing the vines to resume regular vegetative development. The summer was dry and hot, but without torrid days, allowing the grapes to ripen regularly and slowly.
